HASENOHR, Wolfgang Adolf, “Opa”, age 84, of Tracy, CA, passed away on November 30th, 2019. Wolfgang was born in Stuttgart, Germany where he attended schooling for electrical engineering. In 1959 he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served three years as Specialist Fourth Class stationed in Manheim-Sandhofen, Germany. Upon his honorable discharge, Wolfgang immigrated with his wife and newborn daughter to New York and eventually settled in California. Wolfgang enjoyed spending time with his wife of 59 years, watching his four grandchildren grow up, and working/tinkering with anything mechanical. Wolfgang enjoyed taking pictures, going for long drives, and having coffee and cake with those he loved.
Wolfgang is preceded in death by his parents Adolf and Mathilde, and his grandson, Benjamin Vela, who welcomed him to heaven with open arms.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Erika Hasenohr; daughter, Sylvia Vela and her husband, Sendo; eldest granddaughter, Katherine Snedigar and her husband, Chris; and granddaughters Rachel and Michelle Vela.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18th at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy. Burial will be held at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road, Tracy after funeral services. Condolences may be sent to the family at
