William "Bill" Bridges

Tribute

Bill was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was the son of Nelwyn Trensch and the late William Bridges. He was the eldest of four siblings, John Bridges, Kathryn Trensch and Frank Trensch. He was the stepson of the late Franklyn Trensch.
After graduating from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida, Bill attended the University of South Florida and then joined the US Navy for four years. After his discharge he moved to California where he met Cynthia, married and completed his education at California State University at Hayward where he received both a BS degree in business and also an MBA in business. 
Bill worked for P.G.& E. while attending college and until his retirement in 2000. He held many positions for the company during his career and retired as a District Manager for P.G.& E. in Tracy. After his retirement he served as Director of the Industry in Education Program for the Chamber of Commerce. He was also an active member of Tracy Rotary Club and was involved in many of its youth programs including Tracy High Interact Club, Camp Ryla, and Rotary Scholarship program.
He was a Boy Scout leader and also leader of the Jefferson 4-H Swine Group for 12 years. He had many interests, some of which included building custom guitars, woodworking, skiing, fishing, traveling and bicycling. 
Bill was the love of Cynthia's life and will be terribly missed by her. He leaves behind four children who added so much joy to his life, and of whom he was so proud, Dianne Foley, James Bridges (wife Julie), Denise Marsh (husband Brent) and John Bridges (wife Kelly). He also leaves behind 15 adored grandchildren.
He was loved and deeply cherished by his family and will be forever missed.
Services will be a private family memorial service at Fry's Memorial Chapel.
