Rachel Irene Stanford

Rachel Irene “Mimi” Beck Stanford, 38 years old, of Tracy, CA, passed away on 2/17/2020.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM (doors open at 10:00 AM) at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy CA. Bill Barnett of Fry Memorial Chapel will be officiating. A reception will follow the funeral at Fry Memorial Chapel after the Celebration of Life. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fry Memorial Chapel.
Rachel was born in Stockton, CA on 11/19/1981 and grew up in Modesto, CA. Rachel was married to Jeff Stanford on 8/8/2003; they were married 16 years.
Rachel was a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and rose to the level of Eagle Sundancer. She was an avid musician and played several instruments including banjo, guitar, and bass. She also enjoyed photography and writing. She was a gifted at drawing and her portraits of people were exquisite and incredibly life-like. She was known for her razor-sharp wit and unparalleled sense of humor. One of her most proud accomplishments was being an aunt to Kahlynn (who called Rachel “EE-OO” since she was a baby) and Mattie. She adored our dog, Percy, who was there for all our adventures in life.
When Rachel’s mother first laid eyes on Rachel, she couldn’t believe how perfect she was and so beautiful. She was always so kind, sweet, and mature for a little girl. Her big brother was expecting her to be a little brother and he treated her like one. She was right by him helping him fix things and putting stuff together. She even baited her own fishing hook. She didn’t mind getting her hands dirty. She was always ready to help family members with projects. She was so talented in so many things. She made us laugh so much.
Rachel was such a beautiful soul, and a blessing in her friend’s lives. She was generous, uniquely talented, thoughtful, and HILARIOUS! Whether you knew her for 30 years, or 30 days, she had the ability to feel like the most special person in the room. Rachel was the place in the sun on a cold, dreary day. Her friends were guided by her strength, and inspired by her example. We will all miss our sweet friend!!
Rachel is survived by Jeff Stanford, Richard Beck, Sandra Beck, Mathew Todd Beck, Brenda Beck, David Jackson, Kahlynn Jackson, Mattie Beck and other family and friends.
Rachel is preceded in death by Kathryn Jackson and Mathew Todd Beck Jr.
The families of Beck and Stanford wishes to thank everyone who loved Rachel and also helped with the Celebration of Life and reception.
