Molly C. Bell

November 4, 1938 ~ February 3, 2020 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Tribute

Molly Carmen Bell passed away on February 3, 2019 in Tracy after a long battle with lung disease. She was 81 years old. It would be wrong to say that Molly lost her battle with lung disease because she never stopped fighting. When anyone else would have broken, Molly stayed strong. Molly always had a very strong support system with her family, who always kept a smile on her face and a frequent laugh in her speech. Molly was born on November 4, 1938 in Fresno, CA. She was the daughter of Juana and Ignacio Gonzalez of Tracy. Molly grew up in Tracy and attended Tracy Joint Union High School, graduating in 1956. After graduating high school, Molly worked for the federal government as a supervising staffing specialist, working at the Defense Depot  in Tracy, where she received the Defense Logistics Agency - Outstanding Employee Award. Molly retired from her career in 1991 after giving 35 years of service for the government. In 1965 Molly married Jim Bell of Tracy. They were married for 36 years until his passing in 2001.
Molly loved to run 5 and 10K races with her twin sister, Emily, and was an avid San Francisco 49’ers and San Francisco Giants fan. Molly loved to watch games with her family and cheer on her favorite teams. Molly also accomplished a half-marathon at 65 years of age with her partner David Cardoza. Molly’s strength always resided in her family, being born the last of seven siblings, all of which to this day have remained close in spirit. Although all friends and family mourn the loss of Molly, sorrow quickly turns to smiles when memories of Molly come to light. She will be missed by many, but memories of Molly will live in her family and friends forever.
Molly is survived by: her daughter, Lisa Pombo and her husband, Dello Pombo of Tracy; son, Derek Bell and his wife, Jody Harrah, of Chico; two granddaughters, Jada Bell of Chico and Shehaila Pombo of Tracy;  four sisters, Emily Ward of Tracy; Jennie Ryan and her husband John Ryan of Tracy; Lucy Crow of Pomona and Theresa Villasenor’ and her husband Fidel Villasenor’ of Oxnard; and longtime partner, David Cardoza of Manteca. Molly’s family invites you to the following services: Visitation and Rosary on February 10th from 4pm to 9pm at Fry’s Memorial Chapel in Tracy; Funeral Mass on February 11th at 11am at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Tracy with burial to follow at Tracy Public Cemetery.
