Jose Cerriteno

Jose Cerriteno, 13, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Sacramento. For the past month Jose had been battling leukemia after being in remission for over a year. He had successfully beaten Leukemia a second time and found himself in remission again; however this only lasted a few days before an infection took over his body.
Jose was born November 22, 2006 in Manteca, CA to Maria & Jose Cerriteno. A lifelong Tracy resident he was attending 6th grade at Earle E. Williams Middle School, prior he was at Louis A. Bohn Elementary. He was full of joy, love, laughter, and jokes to last many lifetimes. Regardless of the situation and circumstances he found himself in, he managed to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He believed laughter was the best medicine, like any and all teenagers he LOVED video games and often created an entire new world of virtual family and friends. His personality and spirit were far stronger than any sickness in this world or the next and until the very end he comforted those around him with his witty jokes and rejoiceful laughter
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, is honored to serve the family. A Rosary & Prayer service will be held at the funeral home, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00pm, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Final goodbyes will be at Fry's on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:30 am. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm at Tracy Public Cemetery.
