George Wayne Chesnut, Sr.

George Wayne Chesnut, 80, passed away at home on Friday, March 8, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on October 13, 1943 in Tennessee and has resided in Tracy for the past 25 years. The US Army Veteran, worked as a Health & Safety Inspector for AT&T for over 30 years before retiring.

George met the love of his life, Cheryl in 1963 and courted her for a year before marrying her on August 8, 1964. In 2014, surround by their family & friends they celebrated 50 years of marriage.

George is survived by his three children George, Jr., Daniel and Jennifer along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by her treasured wife of 51 years, Cheryl Chesnut (03/2015)

Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the Chesnut Family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 East Schulte Road, Tracy.
