Donavon Wayne Peterson

Donovan Peterson, of Tracy, passed away on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 after reaching the age of 94 years old. He passed peacefully with his wife, Virginia by his side.
 
Don was born on June, 7th 1926 in Wishek, N.D. He joined the Navy in 1943 and served for six years as a seaman abord the U.S.S. Saratoga. On January 29, 1947, he married Virginia (Suzuki) in Honolulu, Hawaii and together they raised three sons and two daughters.
 
Don was preceded in death by his son, Darrell, and his daughter, Cheryl. He is survived by his wife of nearly seventy-four years, Virginia and their children, Charlene, Brian, and David. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Don loved and cherished his large family.
 
Family and friends are invited to attend a service followed by burial on Friday, March 13th, 2020. The service will begin at 10:00am till 2:00 p.m. at Fry’s Memorial Chapel followed by the burial at Tracy Mausoleum. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, CA 95376.
