Rudolph Joseph Castro, Sr., 86 passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on May 8, 2017. He was born on February 16, 1931 in Modesto, CA to the late Joseph & Felipa Castro. A lifetime Tracy resident, Randy worked for HJ Heinz for 38 years before retiring in 1993.

In 1952 Randy was drafted into the Korean War and served his country overseas in Germany as a Corporal in the Army Infantry division. Not long after returning home, he married the love of his life, Dora Villalovoz and they were happily married for 60 years before her passing in 2016.

Randy was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed going to all the Tracy High football games and faithfully cheering on the SF 49ers & SF Giants. He loved the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Above all, his greatest joy was his family; he treasured spending time with all his grandchildren, and great grandchildren and reliving all his childhood memories while taking country rides here in Tracy.

Mr. Castro is survived by his three sons, Randy, Jr., Stephen, Larry and his wife, Vicki, all of Tracy; grandchildren Sarah and her husband, Jonamar of Tracy, and Julius and his wife Jenna of Modesto; great grandchildren Aidan, Aria, Amaya and Hailee. He also leaves behind 2 siblings, Beatrice Garcia of Modesto and Dave Castro & his wife, Virginia of Tracy. He was preceded in death by his wife Dora, his parents and 8 siblings.
