Mary Candelaria Ruiz

Mary Ruiz, 69, passed away at home on November 10, 2017 surrounded by her devoted family. The lifelong Tracy resident was born April 6, 1948 in Santa Maria, California to the late Ruben & Aurora Santiago.
Mary or Candy as she was lovingly known by family and friends worked as a beautician before going to work for the family business for over 20 years, Mi Ranchito Deli & Restaurant. When she wasn’t spending time with her treasured family Candy enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos.
Candy leaves behind her daughter, Angela Martinez & husband, Richard; Grandsons, Richard Martinez, Jr & wife, Alexis; Ruben Martinez and Robert Martinez all of Tracy. Siblings, Linda Cisneros of Lodi; Esther Cisneros, Annie McManus, and Marisela Santiago-Bhatnagar all of Tracy.
Ms. Ruiz was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben & Aurora Santiago; brothers Ruben Santiago and Abel Santiago and Godmother Mary Sanchez.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Avenue, is honored to serve the family. A Rosary will be held in Candy’s honor at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with visitation beginning prior at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 29th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Avenue. She will be laid to rest at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E.
