Kitty Carter passed away in Stockton, CA on May 18, 2017 at the age of 64 after a short illness. She was born on June 11, 1952 in Palisade, Colorado to William E. and Veralyn R. Carter.
Kitty worked as a manager for Chevron for over 20 years before retiring in 2015 and resided in the Tracy/Manteca area for the last 14 years. Kitty enjoyed rap music and spending time watching old western movies but mostly loved spending time with her family. Her family could always count on feisty 5’4” Kitty offering to go toe to toe with someone twice her size to protect them. She was a beloved aunt and sister to her family and will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
Kitty is survived by her siblings, William and (Michele) Carter of Modesto, James Carter of San Francisco, and Sandy and (Jim) Hardgrave of Idaho, her siblings by choice, Allen and Helen McCarty of Tracy, and her nieces and nephews.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Avenue, is handling all arrangements. A Graveside Service will be held at the Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 am.
